Business Application

Pima County wants to help businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic ensure the public it is safe to get Back to Business if everyone follows common-sense and scientifically proven protective measures to help slow the spread of the virus in our community. That’s why the Board of Supervisors May 21 adopted operating rules for restaurants, bars, and attractions, as well as gyms, fitness centers, hotel and resorts that operate public or semipublic pools. Following these rules will decrease the chances of the spread of COVID-19 in your establishment. It is not the County’s intent to punish businesses for noncompliance, but to educate owners and operators why it is in their best interest to follow these protective measure requirements. It will help protect you, your vital workforce, and your patrons.

The Ready For You program is more than just a sticker in the window. The County will conduct a large and comprehensive media campaign to make the Ready For You badge easily recognized, and to give the image value – when the public sees it, they’ll know your business is doing all it can to protect its patrons from the spread of COVID-19.

We want you Back to Business.

To receive the Ready For You badge, follow these easy steps:

Step 1:

Fill out this online form attesting that your business is adhering to the requirements set by the Board of Supervisors. Your attestation will be sent to the Pima County Health Department’s Consumer Health and Food Safety division for review.

Step 2:

Assist the Consumer Health and Food Safety sanitarian when they call to verify via video chat that your business is following the appropriate rules. Once verified, the County will mail you marketing materials to use to demonstrate to the public that your business is doing its part to contain and stop the spread of COVID-19. Sanitarians also will verify compliance with the special COVID-19 operating rules during normal facility inspections for your operating permit.

Step 3:

Once you receive the marketing materials (window clings, digital file, posters, and stickers) place them in prominent locations at your establishments and use them in your advertising and social media marketing.
